Simar Singh is a comedian and filmmaker, and the founder of UnErase Poetry, one of India’s largest spoken word platforms. He also runs the arts venue Indifferent, Bandra, and is now bringing the spirit of the Fringe movement to India through the Mumbai Fringe Festival.
The tradition of Fringe evolved during the first Edinburgh festival in 1947.
Established to unite Europe after the war, today there are over 300 Fringes around the world.
International and Indian acts come together to give an experience of a lifetime to Mumbai audiences.

Scottish-born Steve began his arts industry journey at the Edinburgh Fringe in 1996. He later founded Prague Fringe, Europe’s first fringe festival, now celebrating its 25th anniversary. After visiting India in 2018, he was inspired to help establish an international fringe festival in India.
